Tom Felton, best known for his role as Draco Malfoy in the iconic Harry Potter film series, is stepping back into the wizarding world—this time on stage. The British actor is set to make his Broadway debut in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, playing the grown-up version of the character that made him a global name.
This marks Felton’s first time reprising the role in over a decade and his first-ever appearance on the Broadway stage. His 19-week run will begin on November 11, 2025, at New York’s Lyric Theatre and will continue through March 22, 2026.

Set 19 years after the original Harry Potter storyline, The Cursed Child follows the adventures of the next generation of wizards, including Draco’s son, Scorpius Malfoy. Felton has described the experience as deeply emotional and nostalgic. He admitted to tearing up when he first tried on Draco’s iconic platinum-blond wig for the role.

Felton’s casting is a milestone for the production, as he becomes the first actor from the original films to officially join the stage version. The Broadway play, originally presented in two parts, has been condensed into a single, fast-paced performance that runs under three hours.
Tickets for the production will be available to the general public starting June 12, with a special presale launching on June 10.
Outside of the wizarding world, Felton continues to expand his acting career. He is set to appear in the upcoming historical television series Gandhi, directed by Hansal Mehta, where he will portray Josiah Oldfield, a close companion of Mahatma Gandhi during his time in London.
Felton’s return to Draco Malfoy offers a rare and exciting opportunity for longtime fans to reconnect with the magical world of Harry Potter—this time, live on stage.
